Google DeepMind has taken a minority stake in EVE Online developer CCP Games, now rebranded as Fenris Creations, to use the sci-fi simulation game for studying artificial intelligence in complex, dynamic systems. The partnership comes after Fenris management spent $120 million to buy themselves out from South Korean publisher Pearl Abyss.
