Chinese director Bi Gan announced his fourth feature film will examine human existence from a "micro perspective" in response to growing global anxiety about artificial intelligence, speaking Wednesday at Spain's Las Palmas de Gran Canaria International Film Festival where he received an Honorary Golden Lady Harimaguada. The festival will showcase a retrospective of six of Bi's works from April 29 to May 3, marking what the filmmaker describes as "a new start" in his nearly 15-year career.
