Calder Allen, grandson of Texas songwriting legends Terry and Jo Harvey Allen, abandoned a fly-fishing career to pursue music after dropping out of the University of Montana. His latest album, Fault Lines, released last March, has expanded his fanbase beyond Texas, and he will perform at Rolling Stone's inaugural Stateside festival on July 4th in Kingston, New York.
